“Both excited and dedicated to the individual and their endeavors.”

“Natalie is an excellent vocal teacher! I worked with her for three years, and during that time, my vocal abilities grew immensely thanks to her teaching. She is a teacher who cares about her students as people, not just as vocal students and she takes the time to form a personal connection with everyone she works with. I was very pleased with my experience as a vocal student at A Higher Note!”

“Natalie is terrific with my 9-year-old daughter. She is knowledgeable, experienced, professional, and talented. Most of all, she truly cares about the success and well-being of my daughter and encourages her as a vocalist. I have enjoyed watching my daughter grow with Natalie. She exceeded all my expectations of a vocal instructor!”
_Andres L.
“Natalie was very professional and knowledgeable. I recommend her for anyone at any level of singing.”
_Roger A.
“Natalie thought me how to be a better singer with what I already knew and built upon that. She thought me how to control my breathing and extended my range and breath support. I enjoyed my time with her and wish I could have spent more time with her.”

“We had an excellent experience with Natalie. I see a change in my daughter’s voice and performance.”

“My 12 year old granddaughter has been a voice student of Natalie’s for two years. She started out a rather reluctant participant with all the confidence issues of most 10 year old girls. The changes in the last 2 years are nothing short of remarkable. I am beginning to see a confident, self-assured vocalist emerging. One of the most encouraging things about studying with Natalie is that she teaches her students more than singing. She concentrates on the theory and how to use their voice to their utmost. She is a very patient and caring individual and that is very evident in her teaching style. Due to her encouragement and instruction my granddaughter is now singing with joy and exuberance to groups of 25 – 500.”

“I came to Natalie tone-deaf, at 23 years old, with no singing experience, never having sung in a chorus or ensemble of any kind. I now have the technique and confidence to sing out whenever I have the time. My pitch, tone, and range have improved dramatically. If you take lessons from her, heed her advice, and practice diligently, you will not be disappointed.”

“I’ve been taking voice lessons from Natalie for a couple of months and just in the short time, I’ve improved my vocal technic and quality. I’m almost 40 years old and wish I would have started voice lessons a long time ago. There is so much more to singing than I realized. Natalie is extremely knowledgable, experienced and provides an easy and comfortable learning environment. She also video records each lesson so I can go back and practice exercises and recall our conversations and helpful tips. If you are thinking about voice lessons, I would recommend calling Natalie.”

“When I went to Yale for half a year as a part of my PhD, I missed singing in a choir. I have been singing in a choir since I was very young and singing is very important to me. I found Natalie’s page and asked her if she would give me singing lessons. I really enjoyed the lessons and she taught me many very useful techniques. I felt these private singing lessons were so good that I have been taking lessons in Denmark ever since.”

“I had been an instrumental musician (and embarrassingly bad vocalist) for forty years and finally decided that I should learn to sing. Natalie is an amazingly intuitive, focused, smart teacher. We had limited time because she was moving to Ohio and the progress I made in that time surprised me. She skipped ear training and theory and all the things I didn’t need. She taught me lots of mechanics and how to breathe, in other words, exactly what I needed to learn. You couldn’t ask for a better teacher.”

“I was ten years old and in fifth grade when my mom announced that she had won four one-hour voice lessons. Truthfully, I wasn’t thrilled when I heard about it. My opinion soon changed after the first lesson.
“Natalie was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. She was very encouraging and taught me a lot and I walked away from each lesson with more information about singing in my head. It was very clear that she knew a lot about singing and was good at passing down the knowledge through teaching it to me.
“Before this I had had some lessons, but none had really focused on singing like these. And, Natalie wasn’t only a voice teacher. One lesson she took out a book about the human body and gave me a very thorough explanation on how the diaphragm works and. She explained how by breathing in a certain way using my diaphragm, I’d be able to sing louder and better. I’d recommend Natalie for voice lessons to anyone who’s looking for a good teacher to learn more about singing.”

“Natalie is a very good instructor! She is knowledgeable of her craft and makes you feel very welcome! I highly recommended her for your vocal needs!”

“Natalie is an absolutely wonderful teacher, not only personality-wise (she’s very kind and funny, very encouraging) but in terms of her ability to teach me how to understand what singing involves and how to use breathing, posture, and face position to best use. She videotaped each lesson on with her laptop and gave me the DVD right away for home practice: what a great idea!”
_B.S.
“Very patient, accommodating and professional. Tries to make the lessons in her home feel like a studio experience. Would recommend to anyone.”

“Natalie is very wonderful. She is quite knowledgeable, patient, and supportive. Not to mention that she is absolutely honest, which I love. I am definitely happy I picked her for my instructor.”

“We have tried several other music teachers for our 7-year-old son and none of them clicked. Since we have started with Natalie, our son says he loves guitar and we never have to argue with him about practicing! What a difference from before! It is fun to watch him learn and to watch Natalie teach.”
_J.B.
“Natalie is an excellent instructor, I brought my daughter with me to my lesson and she is also looking forward to having lessons with her. Natalie makes you feel relaxed and not stupid because you are a beginner with little or no experience.”
_M.B.
“I am a classically trained musician in voice and piano, but had always wanted to learn how to play the guitar. I learned about a higher note and found Natalie to be incredibly good at her job. She was very good with me as an adult learner. In general, I think that Natalie is very good at meeting people where they are; helping to encourage people where they needed it and push them to their better potential.”
_M.S.
“We’ve only been with Natalie 1 month, but already my daughter, who is 4, is learning through a hands-on approach of interactive games, demonstration at the piano, and fun. We are assigned homework each week, which is a review of what was learned from the current lesson, and we have fun at home playing the games, a 4 year old thinks its a game, but she’s learning too 🙂 and mom’s enjoying learning the piano a bit too, and ensure we’re ready and will earn our sticker for completing our homework for our next lesson. Even after only 1 month, I would highly recommend Natalie Eastman.”

“Natalie cares not only about what she’s teaching, but whom. And I found that to be of the greatest benefit to my girls. Her easy-going manner and warmth immediately set my girls at ease allowing them to sing unencumbered and unafraid. Confident. And with confidence potential is limitless!”

“Natalie was very knowledgeable, and an excellent teacher! She individualized the lessons and was quickly able to help me fix issues with my posture and technique. I learned a ton, and it was really enjoyable!”

“Natalie… is fabulous. She is the first voice coach who truly cares about my professional goals and has shown that she is making an effort to help me reach them!”

“”One month into lessons for our daughter, we are definitely satisfied.” I wrote that almost a year ago after our daughter requested voice lessons for her birthday. 11 months later, we are thrilled with her growth as a singer. In the past year, we have seen remarkable growth in her ability, her confidence and, most importantly, her love of music. At 16, she may change her mind a dozen times, but she’s now considering a career in vocal music. A few months ago, she performed at the Ohio Music Educator Association’s Solo and Ensemble Competition. Her performance earned a Superior rating of 1 – the best grade possible. While Natalie did help her prepare for this specific contest, we are more impressed with the skills and exercises that will help her be a better singer for the rest of her life. More recently, our daughter performed a solo at a school function. We’re a bit biased, but we think she nailed it. Afterward, other parents asked us where she takes voice lessons, and we were happy to recommend Natalie. The best endorsement that we can give Natalie is that we now have 2 children taking voice lessons with her. Our middle child has been so impressed by the growth of her older sister, that she asked to take voice lessons also and definitely wanted to work with Natalie. A month in with child number 2, and we’re still satisfied!”

“Our 7 year old has taken voice for over a year but recently started with Natalie. She has gone from refusing to sing in front of us to now singing in front of us, joyfully and excitedly. Natalie instills both fun and discipline into her lessons which is the best combination for building confidence in our budding singer.”
_Shell H.
“Natalie took our music instruction experience to a whole new level. We have four children, and she met each one exactly where they were, not just in skill, but in personality and development. Her depth of experience was evident in how she structured their lessons and practice, as well as the choices of music she made for them personally. She is also a lot of fun!”
_Sholar H.
“Professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, I highly recommend Natalie for voice and piano lessons.”

“Natalie – I wanted to take a minute to let you know how much my daughter and I enjoyed the lesson last night. You have a great rapport with your students.”

“I took a few months of voice lessons with Natalie shortly before she relocated from CT to OH. I think she’s an absolutely wonderful teacher, not only personality-wise (she’s very kind and funny, very encouraging) but in terms of her ability to teach me how to understand what singing involves and how to use breathing, posture, and face position to best use. She videotaped each lesson on with her laptop and gave me the DVD right away for home practice: what a great idea!”

“I worked with Natalie when she was still on the East Coast. Sadly for me, I have not been able to find a replacement teacher with as much knowledge, patience and teaching expertise. I was a complete novice and Natalie was able to take me through the basics of voice training very quickly. While we focused on the techniques I needed to improve – I also had a lot of fun just singing. The lessons were never a grind.”
_J.G.
”You have a wonderful voice. Just beautiful, I really enjoyed hearing you sing. I get that a lot. Well, not me actually, but my daughters. They love to sing and quite frankly, they do have lovely voices. (Its my job as a gloating parent to say that.) Baseline, I know that my daughters possess an aptitude for music, for singing. My desire in seeking a vocal instructor was to unlock potential. Natalie has truly been a blessing for my girls. At the conclusion of the very first lesson I could hear the difference in their voices. Focused, projected, strong.
“And the improvements kept coming. Lessons focused on vocal exercises, breathing techniques, phrasing
In other words, everything you could want or expect from your instructor. I suppose the difference, that little bit of lagniappe, that sets Natalie apart is compassion. Natalie cares not only about what shes teaching, but whom. And I found that to be of the greatest benefit to my girls. Her easy-going manner and warmth immediately set my girls at ease allowing them to sing unencumbered and unafraid. Confident.”
